School Admissions Policy 2021/22 (167kb PDF)
We are a non-selective Local Authority (LA) maintained County Primary School catering for children aged 4-11yrs. Grangetown Primary School’s Admissions Policy follows the requirements laid down in law. Responsibility for making arrangements for admissions and appeals rests with the LA. The LA must consult annually with the Governing Body over its admissions.
The criteria for admissions at Grangetown Primary School will be those stated annually by the LA. Details of this can be obtained in the Cardiff Schools Service Information for Parents Booklet.
The standard admission number for Grangetown Primary School is 60 per year group. The criteria for appeal procedures is also detailed in the above Information for Parents' Booklet, copies of which are available on request from the school or the LA.
Pupils with Disabilities
The school’s Admissions Policy does not discriminate against disabled children.
Anyone can apply for their child to be admitted to our school and places are allocated according to LA policy.
